The Catalina Island Conservancy, whose mandate is to care for 85% of Catalina Island, asked Scott to create a original oil painting which was sold at the 10th anniversary fundraising Conservancy Ball at the Avalon Casino on April 2, 2005. This original oil painting sold at the live auction for $5600.00.

A percentage of the auction proceeds went to the Conservancy’s efforts to preserve a natural sanctuary for visitors to enjoy.

This oil painting “Emerald Enchantment” is a true tribute to the beauty of this island. Take a moment and enjoy it!

Hiking above the coves provides some of the most beautiful sights overlooking the blue and green waters of Catalina Channel. The foliage changes dramatically from brown brush to cactus to exotic plants. The marine deserts on all the Channel Islands, like Baja California, present a particular wealth of flora and fauna.
